After the U15s win at Grappenhall against Alderley Edge, in the Cheshire Cup it was back to League action this morning. Mersey won toss and elected to bat on an overcast morning at Oakley Villas. The home side to score 144 for 5 in their 25 overs. Two players, Matt Connolly and Josh Ainscough both retired on 43. Uptons M Smith taking 2 for 12 in his 5 overs. Upton were to reply by scoring 119 all out in 24 overs, a notable 31 from M Owen. Merseys, Lloyd Scragg taking an excellent 5 for 8 in his 5 overs Heaton Mersey win.
